SALLY HORNER O’NEILL
Sally Horner O’Neill, born in Denver, CO to a mountaineering father and a musician mother, moved throughout her childhood from Colorado to Belgium and eventually ended up in Santa Fe, NM. She attended the University of Colorado, Universidad de Sevilla, Spain and University of New Mexico where she earned a BAFA in 1979 in Studio Art with a metals emphasis.
At the early age of 12, Sally began experimenting with making jewelry out of copper and enamel. She continued throughout her teens and had her first studio where she made and sold pieces at local stores in Santa Fe.
Sally loves the Edwardian, Art Deco and Art Nouveau periods and one can see their influence on her own designs and creations. She works in precious metals and gemstones. She only makes jewelry that she would love to wear herself and all of her pieces are one of a kind. Sally is also a Graduate Gemologist (GG) and certified jewelry appraiser, with the skill and knowledge to identify and grade precious and semi-precious stones.
She works in her studio out of her home in Bozeman and sells her hand-made, one of a kind jewelry exclusively at Old Main Gallery in Bozeman, Montana.
