Amber Jean lives a storied life at the end of the road near the top of a mountain in Montana. The art she creates is a “luminous gesture of love toward nature and humankind.” A passionate adventurer both inside and outside the studio, the means in which Amber explores the outdoors is as diverse as the many mediums she uses to create. She pushes beyond her comfort zone wether speaking on the TEDx stage, climbing frozen waterfalls or creating art.

“I embrace life with its contradictions and plunge headlong into the marvel. I want to share moments of soul-bearing insight while bringing bits of Momma Nature to people. A lucky knack for materials allows me endless possibilities for expression; wood, steel, glass, stone, paper, paint, bone. A Lakota man told me, “truth is the eyes of the heart” - so it is with my heart’s eyes that I hope to spark a connection between each other and all things.”

Declared by WOOD magazine as one of “America’s Woodworking Greats,” Amber recently became the first woman to carve in the country of Bhutan when the Prime Minister asked her to create an artwork in a retreat palace for their revered king. She has been featured on the “Wood Sculpting” TV series produced by DIY, the Oxygen Network “Pure Oxygen” show and a documentary series filmed by Nestbox Collective. Her healing art sculpture installation was voted “Top 25” out of 1500 artists from 53 countries at Art.
